Entrant Information

Anyone Can Enter!

Simply review all show related information. Decide which classes to enter, what materials you will need, and when you will need to setup and remove your entries. Feel free to contact Len Haggblad or phone 269-7073 if you have any inquiries.

Click here to download our entry form.

Materials Provided:

  • The club provides an air supply, airlines, and lighting for all tanks on the club’s stands, unless excluded in the previous rules.

  • It is highly recommended entrants bring their own water to display their fish. Only tap water will be available on site. Also, keep extra air stones handy -- ours from the previous show may not all be in tact.

  • If you would like to borrow a show tank, contact Len Haggblad or phone 269-7073 for more information.

Suggestions For Entrants:
  • Read the rules and regulations carefully.

  • Review the setup schedule to find out when you need to setup and remove your entries from the show.

  • The show setup and tear down will require volunteers. There is some heavy lifting involved in most jobs but volunteers for lighter work are also required.

Rules For Mail-in Entrants:
  • Read the rules and regulations carefully.

  • Please allow your fish to be auctioned after the show so that return of entrant is not required.

  • Tanks, water, gravel, air, backgrounds, and lighting are provided.

  • Be aware that Calgary tap water is hard and alkaline (pH 8.0).

  • Arrange to have your entry form in on time and your fish to arrive on the date stated.

  • If shipping fish by air, mark each bag with your name and class number using a waterproof marker.

  • Include a packing note to indicate what you are sending and any changes to be made due to death or disease (note that remaining entries’ classes can not be changed because of the death of one or more other entries). Mark your shipping containers "LIVE TROPICAL FISH: PLEASE KEEP WARM". Contact Len Haggblad or phone 269-7073 for further shipping and address information.
